| The Group's First Press Headline
This was the occasion of the press getting hold of the Plesetsk discovery story in 1966. The December 21 headline sums it up nicely and precisely.

Our local paper, the Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph, got there first having the advantage of being an evening newspaper and 'going to bed' earlier than the Dailies. The major UK national newspapers ran the story the following day.
In the picture across the top are Phil Gregory, Graham Coleman, Bob Christy, Geoff Perry, Derek Slater, Richard Jahn and Mike Sinnett. The photo was taken in Physics laboratory 'A' with us standing in front of the windows that faced Windmill Avenue.
