Probably military in nature and maybe intended for signals intelligence gathering (SIGINT). Initially in co-orbit with TJS-3 payload 2 and was probably attached to it on arrival at their original GEO station. Commenced eastward drift 2019 May 20 to begin a stop-start journey around the geosynchronous belt. From 2019 Sep - Dec, it stopped alongside Shijian 13 (42662/2017-018A) at 111° east, then 2020 Feb - 2021 Aug it was co-located with Shijian 20 (44910/2019-097A) at 88° east before commencing a westward drift. 2021 Oct it settled near 59° east alongside 2018-110C from where it had originally departed, remaining there until 2022 Jul 5. Continued to follow GEO belt and made further stops 2022 Sep 13 at 88° east near USA 233 (38070/2012-003A)) and 2023 Feb 8 at 137°.5 east near USA 298 (45465/2020-022B).

Instrumented rocket body - precise mission not known but almost certainly connected with TJS 3. Moved TJS 3 from transfer orbit to geosynchronous drift orbit and then to its GEO location where it released the satellite. Remained at 59° east after TJS 3 departed 2019 May 20 then returned to the location 2021 October. Ceased station keeping and commenced manoeuvre to graveyard orbit 2021 November.

Described as a technology test satellite, TJS 5 is probably military in nature and possibly intended either for signals intelligence gathering (SIGINT) or to perform a missile early warning rôle. Precise launch time 15:20:14 UTC. Probably transferred to GEO Jan 9 and reached operational location the same day or shortly after. 2021 early-Feb, it was joined by by TJS 6 (47613/2021-10A) and they remained together until Apr 16, approaching to within 10 km of each other. Manoeuvred to geosynchronous drift orbit 2021 Feb 5 or Feb 6 and settled at its geosynchronous location after a small number of days. It joined TJS 6 (44978/2020-002A) and they remained together until Apr 16, approaching to within 10 km of each other.TJS 5 then departed for a new location.

Communications technology test satellite. Not acknowledged in initial press reports of the launch but included in the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp report of lift-off. Three days after launch, started to reduce its orbit height rapidly, losing about 20 km per day under the influence of a constant force - probably a continuously-acting thruster. The manoeuvre was completed Sep 14.
