| The table lists all launches by China under the name Shiyan together with any other satellites carried on the same launch vehicle. They have used a range of different launch vehicle types and have been launched from Jiuquan, Taiyuan, Wenchang and Xichang.
There purposes seem to be as test/demonstrator vehicles (Shiyan translates to English as "Test") and they operate in a range of LEO inclinations as well as GEO and HEO.
Shiyan and Chuangxin
The name "Chuangxin" is sometimes associated with Shiyan satellites as a secondary name but it also appears in its own right so the Chuangxin satellites are included in this listing. .

Satellite involved in rendezvous tests, possibly as a satellite inspector. Following separation from the launch vehicle, it moved about 1750 km ahead of Changxin 3, another satellite carried on the same launch vehicle. It then made two close passes by it Aug 6 and Aug 9. Early on Aug 18, it pulled alongside another satellite already in orbit, Shijian 7 (2005-024A/28737), and shadowed it at less than 2km for about 48 hrs. It made further approaches to Shijian 7 later in 2013 and during 2014. |

Chinese government or military satellite described as being for 'space environment studies and related technology experiments'. A short thruster firing Mar 12 at about 10:25 UTC raised perigee slightly rather than move the satellite into Geosynchronous drift orbit. Smaller firings followed over the next few days. Starting 2011 Mar 21, more than one year after launch, a series of firings by the onboard thruster produced an inclined geosynchronous orbit. |

Launch initially unacknowledged by China for more than one day. launch resulted in the mission being declared a failure. However, 2021 Oct 14 at around 14:00 UTC and while at apogee, a thruster firing was used to raise perigee indicating that the satellite was under some degree of control. It had. the effect of counteracting the orbit decay being experienced due to air drag at 170 km. 2022 Mar 30, six months after launch, thruster firings increased the inclination to 63° and the satellite settled into a 'standard' Molniya-type HEO. |
